Under the Livelihood component of SUBULproject implemented in the Bekaa, three key initiatives have been completed:
- Vocational training: 150 beneficiarieswere enrolled in Vocational School, participating in comprehensivecapacity-building programs across multiple sectors including Technical andVocational Education and Training (Car and Motorcycle Maintenance, Barbering,Clothing and Textile, HVAC), Manufacturing (Cooking), Digital Literacy (GraphicDesign, Photography), and Eco-tourism (Hospitality). These programs equippedparticipants with practical, market-relevant skills to enhance employabilityand support self-reliance.
- Entrepreneurship support: Aftercompleting these technical training, 88 participants pursuingentrepreneurship developed and presented their business ideas to a jury. As aresult, 65 winners were selected to receive asset transfers to help them launchtheir business ideas. The selected initiatives cover a variety of fields suchas tailoring, beauty services, food production, retail, carpentry, eventplanning, and more - fostering sustainable income generation.
- Work-based learning: 59 beneficiarieshave been engaged in the work-based learning component, where each has beenmatched with an employer to gain practical experience.
