Under the Livelihood component of SUBUL project implemented in the Bekaa, three key initiatives have been completed:
- Vocational training: 150 beneficiaries were enrolled in Vocational School, participating in comprehensive capacity-building programs across multiple sectors including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (Car and Motorcycle Maintenance, Barbering, Clothing and Textile, HVAC), Manufacturing (Cooking), Digital Literacy (Graphic Design, Photography), and Eco-tourism (Hospitality). These programs equipped participants with practical, market-relevant skills to enhance employability and support self-reliance.
- Entrepreneurship support: After completing these technical training, 88 participants pursuing entrepreneurship developed and presented their business ideas to a jury. As a result, 65 winners were selected to receive asset transfers to help them launch their business ideas. The selected initiatives cover a variety of fields such as tailoring, beauty services, food production, retail, carpentry, event planning, and more - fostering sustainable income generation.
- Work-based learning: 59 beneficiaries have been engaged in the work-based learning component, where each has been matched with an employer to gain practical experience.
