Out of the ashes of the Lebanese Civil War, arcenciel, a Lebanese based non-profit organization was born.
In 1985, a group of friends imagined a world where every person, no matter their ability, could shine. A bridge to the world they dreamed of, named arcenciel: the rainbow.
Because just like a rainbow, it carries every color, embraces every story, and shines its light on all. This is where arcenciel began: from the people, to the people.
It was then recognized as a public interest NGO in 1995 by Presidential Decree N7541. With five core sectors being implemented at 10 centers across Lebanon. arcenciel actively contributes to the development of national policies in all the sectors in which it operates, while maintaining a non-confessional and apolitical stance.
A more just and equitable society, and a greener and cleaner planet.
To contribute to development by supporting vulnerable groups and promoting the inclusion of marginalized persons.
Contributing to development, with and for all persons in difficulty.
