Through its production workshops, the unit manufactures a range of customized assistive devices :manual and electric wheelchairs, crutches, canes, walkers, postural support seats, orthopedic shoes, and manual beds, hospital beds designed according to international quality standards and adapted to the user’s physical and functional requirements. This approach ensures locally produced solutions that are responsive to the needs of the Lebanese context.

Complementing its production efforts, the unit also procures other specialized assistive devices that cannot be manufactured in-house, such as hearing aids and visual aids.

All products, whether produced or purchased, undergo a careful selection and adaptation process to ensure they meet the user’s specific needs, promoting independence and participation in daily life.

To ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of all assistive products, the unit provides maintenance and repair services, helping users maintain their devices and technologies in optimal working condition over the long term.

The Assistive Technologies component focuses on the procurement of specialized technological solutions, such as speech-generating devices, text-to-speech and speech-to-text software, sound amplifiers, screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA), Magnifiers, eye-tracking systems, voice recognition software, etc. These products further support independent living, communication, and environmental interaction for individuals with disabilities.
