The hub fosters innovation, knowledge sharing, and entrepreneurship by connecting farmers, researchers, agribusinesses, and start-ups. It supports the adoption of modern technologies to improve productivity, competitiveness, and market access, while ensuring inclusiveness and equitable opportunities for small-scale farmers and vulnerable groups.
Equipped with advanced facilities such as fruit drying and juicing lines, olive oil and honey filling units, cold storage rooms, and a food quality control laboratory, the AID hub also provides training, capacity building, and incubation services. Sustainability is embedded at its core, with operations powered by a solar energy system.
As a member of the QOOT Consortium, the hub collaborates with key partners including the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute (LARI), the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Saida and Zahleh, Berytech, the Syndicate of the Lebanese Food Industry, and the Lebanese University.
